Feel Like Royalty During Your Next Vacation

I have a little travel inspiration coming your way to get you thinking about where you’d like to explore for your next vacation to Ireland and/or Scotland.

I love planning castle accommodations for clients for so many reasons. And when I plan my own travels, I always include a castle stay for myself. Here’s a video from my last trip to Ireland in January of 2023.

When I tell my clients that their proposal includes a stay in a castle, images of knights and princesses — and maybe a few restless spirits — come to mind, adding a sense of adventure to their vacation.

A castle stay gives travelers that sense of history and grandeur, and adds a “wow factor”.

Top castle hotels in Ireland have incredible activities. For instance, at Ashford Castle, you can enjoy fishing, a lake cruise and kayaking, while Adare Manor has a gundog experience and falconry program. Some even include horseback riding, bicycles, archery, private cinemas, hiking trails, pools and luxurious spas.

For some, it’s much more about the culinary delights that a castle stay offers. Many include pubs featuring local food and drink. There are also fine dining options with a variety of mouthwatering menus, overlooking the spectacular scenery.

Including a castle stay during your next travels to Ireland and/or Scotland really is like a little vacation within your vacation.

When I travel to Ireland and Scotland, I search for treasures that exist outside of the well-trod tourist destinations so my clients can have unforgettable experiences when they explore these countries.

Taylored Tours designs travel to Ireland and Scotland for groups, couples, and solo travelers, from custom-designed self-drive vacations and chauffeured travel to escorted group tours (I have also hosted groups).
